Baumer/hhs Corp. Expands - Doubles the Size of Their Building
October 15, 2007 - When Baumer hhs Corp. built their new building in 2003, John Edgar had no idea that they would be expanding in four short years, but that is what happened. In 2003, Tipton Construction, Inc. built the original 5,900 SF facility for Baumer hhs Corp. on Success Lane. Although the facility was built with expansion in mind, things have progressed more quickly than was originally thought.
“At the time, I thought it would be 8-10 years until we needed to expand again,” said John, “but the business has just continued to grow and we wanted to make sure we kept up with the growth here at our facility.”
Since 2003, Baumer hhs Corp. has added seven new jobs. This latest addition included relocating single-site repair work and the equipment for this work was brought from North Carolina along with a new employee. “We learned that we can do all repairs here on-site and to do this, we needed to bring our employee who specializes in this type of work to this office to allow us to be a one-stop shop for repairs.”
Baumer hhs Corp. is a subsidiary of a German Parent Company. They sell, service and provide technical support for the gluing and quality control for folding cartons, corrugated and folding machines. They recently started doing more finished packaging hot melt systems and see a large potential for growth in this area.
John told me that “we just closed our fiscal year in September and it was another record year for us. We have more than doubled in size since 2003.
