was formed in 1996 as a real estate development and investment entity.
We provide service to
support every aspect of our developments in the Dayton, Cincinnati
Columbus and Northern Kentucky markets.
Tipton Development, Ltd.
typically acts as the managing member of individual limited liability
companies that develop or acquire investment real estate properties.
Tipton Construction,
Inc.
Tipton Construction,
Inc. was formed in 1997. It provides market rate design/build and
construction management services to Tipton Development, Ltd. and other
customers.
Tipton Construction has
completed over $30,000,000 of construction projects. Past construction
projects include business and medical office buildings; surgical
facilities; retail centers; flex buildings; apartment communities;
industrial facilities and an educational facility.
The Tipton Group, Inc.
The Tipton Group, Inc.
was started in February of 1981. It is a licensed real estate broker in
Ohio that provides market rate property management, sales, leasing and
maintenance services to Tipton Development, Ltd. and other customers.

Richard D. Tipton
– Chief Executive Officer

Dick Tipton has nearly forty years experience in the
commercial real estate field. Prior to forming Tipton in 1981, he was vice president of Towne Properties, a regional development firm based in Cincinnati where he was responsible for the management and marketing of more than 6,000 multi-family units in Ohio and Kentucky.
Before beginning his real estate career, he attended Wilmington College
& Ohio State University. He proudly served in Vietnam as an Infantry First Lieutenant. Dick is a licensed commercial real estate broker in the state of Ohio.

Eric A. Tipton
– Chief Operating
Officer

Eric
Tipton joined Tipton in 1994 and became Vice President of
Property Management in 1995. From 1994 to 2000, he
managed approximately 600,000 square feet of commercial
property including office and retail properties and 120 residential units. He
supervised all marketing & interior finish projects during
this time period.
In
2000, he joined Corporex Companies, in Northern
KY, where he was responsible for the management
& leasing of over 1.7 million square feet of office,
office/warehouse, flex, retail & industrial properties.

In
2002, Eric returned to Tipton and is currently responsible for
all construction and real estate service operations. He is also
responsible for all marketing and advertising activities for
Tipton.
Eric
graduated from Ohio State University in 1994, and has been a
licensed real estate agent in the State of Ohio since 1989.

KEVIN HORNER
– Chief Financial
Officer

Kevin
recently joined Tipton as its Chief Financial Officer.
We welcome Kevin to Tipton and look forward to a long and
fruitful relationship.
Prior to joining Tipton, Kevin received his
accounting degree from Wright State in 1993 and became a CPA
in 1997. He operated his own accounting and tax service in
Lewisburg, Ohio and served as an adjunct instructor teaching
accounting, taxation and auditing at Edison Community
College. He has extensive experience in construction
having operated a construction and remodeling company for
seven years prior to receiving his accounting degree.
|
Kevin's Ohio roots are deep literally and
figuratively. His first occupation was farming where he enjoyed
growing up and working on the family farm where they raised
crops and livestock.
In his spare time, Kevin has
coached both high school and college basketball. First, he
was the coach of the freshman team at Arcanum 2004 - 2005 and
was later promoted to assistant coach of the varsity team.
He then went on to be the assistant coach at Sinclair Community
College from 2005 - 2008.

MARTIN CRUME
– Vice
President of Construction

Martin joined Tipton earlier this year. He is
originally from Bardstown, Kentucky and attended the
University of Louisville where he received a bachelor's
degree in civil engineering. He has been in construction
for eighteen years and has managed medical development
projects, retail, office and national real estate
development projects.
Since moving to Cincinnati eight years ago. Martin has lived
in the Oakley area.
In his spare time, he likes to attend sporting events,
playing the drums and spending time with his family. |

Michael Zwisler
– Field Supervisor

Mike
has been with Tipton since 1984. He is our lead maintenance
tech and lead construction superintendent for construction
and interior finish.
Mike has personally supervised construction and maintenance
projects for office, retail, medical, office/warehouse,
and industrial properties throughout the Southwest Ohio
market.
His strength is his working relationship with subcontractors,
our clients, and building inspection departments throughout
the Dayton and Cincinnati markets.

KIM METTER - Office
Manager
|
 |
Kim is the
newest member of the Tipton team, stepping into the role
of Office Manager. Kim grew up in Kettering and growing
up, she was active in many clubs including French Club &
Show Choir. She received her Bachelor of Arts Degree
from Wright State University in 2005 in Modern
Languages, focusing on French, Mandarin Chinese &
American Sign Language. She has also studied Italian, Arabic,
Russian and Spanish. Kim has held many
different professional positions, from Social Services
Designee to 911 Operator, but finds that organizing,
multi-tasking, bookkeeping and running an office really
showcase her strengths. |
In her free time,
Kim enjoys Ohio State Football and Basketball, ballroom dancing and
singing. She also enjoys traveling, especially to France to
practice speaking and interacting with French culture. She is
currently pursuing an Associate Degree in Interior Design from
Sinclair Community College and hopes to someday become a
